This movie absolutely had me gripped in the first half. In my opinion it didn't quite stick the landing but, still a fun and good watch. One of the coolest premises to a movie I've ever seen and for the most part it's executed well.
Twilight: New Moon - 2009

As the production quality goes up, the enjoyability goes down. Unlike the movie before this, this movie is leaving the so bad, it's good territory. This movie felt like a bit of a slog to get through. It definitely has its moments but it seems like it takes itself a lot more seriously than the first one, probably because the production quality went way up. Unfortunately, the acting and writing is still bad.

This is probably the hardest movie to score yet. This movie was simultaneously awful and fun to watch. It's sort of a so bad it's good sort of deal, and since I value enjoyability more than anything else, I ranked it higher than it maybe should be. The acting is bad, the story is strange, the writing is terrible, but overall, fun watch. I will say though, you have to watch this movie with friends (and maybe some alcohol) so you can laugh along. That's what I did, and if I didn't the score would be much lower.
Nosferatu - 1979

I enjoyed this one bit more than the original. Still mostly more of a fun watch than anything else, but it really has some good moments. Some of the main characters have 0% survival/awareness instincts when faced with an actual monster, but these moments add to the experience more than anything if you don't take it too seriously.
Nosferatu - 1922

This is my first silent film so it's just not what I'm used to. I found the story a bit tough to follow at times, but overall fun watch. It was fun watching such an important film in history, especially if you're into horror. Overall glad I watched it but not really in the same vein as something I would normally watch.
The Ritual - 2017

Good movie. I enjoyed the vast majority of it. I think it lost a bit of charm near the end where it starts to stray from feelings of isolation and lostness, but overall still a great watch! The movie also does an interesting thing with the monster where it gives you sneak peeks in the beginning and middle that are really fun. I found myself rewinding a couple of times to see if I missed something and that was fun. Then towards the end, the movie doesn't hold back in showing the monster. I think this is an interesting choice because obviously the viewer wants to see the monster, but sometimes I think that makes the movie less impactful. Personally, in this case, I don't think The Ritual fell into this trap because the monster is so interesting and the build up was so well done.
Terminator 2: Judgement Day - 1991

Like the first, this one is very fun. Arnold is great and it's fun to see him as a good guy in this one. Robert Patrick is also great in this. The CG in this one isn't perfect but it's not nearly as bad as the first and most of it still holds up today. Unlike the first one, this one had to walk a bit of a tight-rope because the terminator in this movie is basically overpowered. I think the movie pulls it off pretty well, though.
The Terminator - 1984

This is a fun movie. This is the kind of movie where you just turn your brain off an enjoy the action. The premise is perfect to just feed into the violence and chaos and also gives an excuse for some of the makeup on Arnold partway through. The only issue is the CG at the end is a little jarring.
Alien - 1979

Very good, I understand why it's a classic and launched one of the largest horror franchises still going strong today. Has some pretty scary moments, a good plot twist, effects look good. It's hard to find anything wrong with this movie. Only reason it isn't perfect is it almost felt like it dragged it's feet at times and the re-watch value is a bit low. Not the sort of movie I'd watch again and again every year, but, that's okay!
Halloween 3: Season of the Witch - 1982

Great movie. It's honestly a shame in my opinion that they moved away from the one-off halloween stories for each movie in the Halloween franchise, because this movie is great. I think it's the perfect blend between fun and horror. Seems like the plot sort of rushes itself a bit towards the end, but other than that, great movie and watch. Would recommend.
